My story

From surviving to living.

The honest version of how Idalaro Shiva began — and why almost everything here is free.

A note before you read

This story mentions mental-health struggles and suicidal thoughts. Read it when you feel ready. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local helpline — you are not alone.

Hi, I'm Idalina.

If someone had met me a few years ago, they probably wouldn't believe I'm the same person writing this today.

For about three years, I struggled with suicidal thoughts. During that time, I tried to end my life three different times. I reached a point where I asked my psychologist to hospitalize me because I knew I needed help.

That decision probably saved my life.

Being hospitalized wasn't the moment that healed me.

It was the moment that made me realize I had a choice.

While I was there, I met people who were suffering in different ways. Many of them relied on medication, but for me, pills had become connected to the way I had tried to end my own life. I made the personal decision that I wanted to find another path.

It wasn't easy.

It wasn't quick.

And I definitely wasn't suddenly "fixed."

In 2024, I lost my dog. That loss hurt more than I can explain, but it also became another turning point. I realized I couldn't keep waiting for life to magically become better.

So I started doing small things.

I moved my body.

I went running.

I started saying yes to things that scared me.

I travelled alone.

I joined activities where I didn't know anyone.

I kept stepping outside my comfort zone because every uncomfortable experience taught me something about myself.

Then, in 2025, something changed.

For the first time in my life, I truly started choosing myself.

Not because I had healed.

But because I finally believed I deserved the chance to heal.

My journey isn't over.

I'm 26 years old, and I'm still discovering who I am.

I still struggle with uncertainty.

I still catch myself worrying about the future instead of enjoying today.

I still have difficult days.

But today, I also have hope.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that I spent most of my life searching for a place where I finally felt safe.

Now I'm learning that home isn't always a place. Sometimes, it's the relationship you build with yourself.

That lesson changed everything.

The reason behind it all

Why Idalaro Shiva Exists

When I started healing, I didn't know where to begin.

I spent hours searching for journals, exercises, habit trackers and reflection questions. Everything I needed was scattered across different places.

So I started creating my own.

At first, they were only for me.

A journal.

A challenge planner.

A habit tracker.

Reflection exercises.

Questions that helped me understand myself a little better.

Eventually, those tools became Idalaro Shiva.

At first, I thought I had to turn it into a business. I wanted to sell everything I created.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped and asked myself a simple question:

"Why did I create this in the first place?"

The answer was obvious.

I created these tools because I needed them.

Not because I wanted to sell them.

That's why today, almost everything you'll find on this website is free.

If someone has an idea for a tool that could help others, they can even send me a message. If I believe it can make someone's journey a little easier, I'll build it and share it here for everyone.

The only paid products are my printed journals on Amazon, for people who enjoy writing on paper.

Everything else is simply my way of giving back.

Idalaro Shiva isn't my business.

It's a part of my healing journey.

A place where I share what has helped me, while I'm still growing myself.

Because I don't want to inspire people by pretending I've reached the finish line.

I want to inspire them by showing that it's okay to still be walking.

If my story helps even one person take one small step toward choosing themselves, then sharing it was worth it.

Welcome to Idalaro Shiva.

Small steps. Daily consistency.
